A new Earth.
A new Life.
A new being.
A brief glimpse of the future.
Welcome to Story Sunday! This weeks post is for Sera. I just finished writing Chapter 11, and the story has officially reached the point where I can say that Book One is complete! Although, I have said this before. Editing will tell if I need to add more before I publish and start on the next book. I am still working on titles but for now I will just call it Sera.
As I begin the editing process, I’ll be going through one chapter at a time. Along the way, I’ll be sharing teasers and highlights to give you a glimpse into the world of Sera. Today, I will be starting off by sharing the prologue.
I went back and forth on whether or not I wanted to include a prologue, but ultimately decided to do so because I want Sera to be a series, and her discovering herself is the focus of the first couple of books. She will continue to grow and discover but not in the intensity of these first two books. Being a guide of souls does not just happen, we must find ourselves first and heal a great deal of trauma before we can begin.
My goal for future books is that she’ll be going on missions to bring about change, so I wanted to portray her future with this in a very small way — not to give too much away, but to give you an idea of what that world will be like once we get there.
Working through Sera’s story has been deeply personal. In many ways, writing her journey has mirrored my own. Through her, I’ve come to powerful realizations about myself. I am excited to share her story with you all.

Prologue
Snow fell like stardust, each flake suspended in golden light. Outside the world shimmered as if wrapped in a spell — sunlight piercing through the winter’s breath in a way that defied logic. The air was still, but everything danced. Ice and fire together. Light and frost. It was beautiful, and it was wrong.
Earth had changed. The rules and scientific truths its inhabitants lived by were no longer holding true. Seasons bled into one another. Time cracked open in strange places. Children dreamed of worlds they had never known, and old souls began whispering truths they had buried in past lives. Most humans still ignored it. Others called it prophecy. I simply felt it. But no matter where you fell on this spectrum, you couldn’t deny the change — it was there in reality for us all to see and experience.
As I gazed out the window, the warmth from my cup of tea permeating through my hands, I felt a familiar lull creep into my bones — a call to stillness, a pull into the space between worlds. The green celestial stone at my neck began to hum against my skin. It always did this when something from the beyond reached for me. A message. A mission. A remembering. I knew what was coming; peaceful moments like this were becoming few and far between.
I sighed as I placed my mug on the windowsill and closed my eyes, one hand over the stone as the other rested on the window, grounding me to this world as my soul reached toward another place. My breath slowed, deepened, and I opened myself to the connection — my body becoming a conduit between the seen and unseen.
Standing in front of the window, framed in the golden glow, my silhouette bathed in light and shadow, I connected to that inner power that was guiding me. There was always a moment before the veil parted where I wasn’t sure what would come through, or if I even wanted to see it — truth or madness. And yet, I always welcomed it.
But I am getting far ahead of myself.
To understand where I am going, you must first understand where I began. And to do that, we must return to the moment everything changed. The moment I died… and the moment I was reborn.
This is not just my story. It is a story of awakening.
A story of soulfire.
A story of remembering who we are, when the world wants us to forget.
It is the story of my final human life, as Sera.
Join me on Sunday May 3rd where I will be diving into Chapter One: Death and Rebirth.
